今から約２０００年前のイスラエルにナザレのイエスという方がいました。イエス・キリストと言われたこの方の教えは新約聖書の根幹となっています。このイエス・キリストのメッセージから学び、日々の生活に活かすことで励まされ、平安と心構えが与えられるところが教会です。私たちはイエス様が復活された日曜日に毎週集まって歌ったり、祈ったり、聖書の言葉から学んでいます。またお茶の時間などを持ちながら互いの支えになり励まし合っています。キリスト教のことをよく知らない人でも、教会は誰でも来て良いところです。ぜひお越しください！

What is a Christian Church?

We are a gathering of people who believe that the man Jesus of Nazareth, who lived some 2000 years ago in what is now modern-day Israel, is the son of God who died on the cross and after dying rose again from the dead. His teachings are central to the New Testament of the Bible, and we gather every week to learn from His teachings, encouraging one another and praying for healing. Gathering on Sunday, the day we believe He rose again, we sing, pray, learn from the Bible and share with each other. We also enjoy fellowship over snacks and tea, sharing our lives together. Whether you are a Christian or you know nothing about Jesus, we welcome you to come and be a part of our church!

予約は必要ですか？

いいえ、必要ありません。席数や駐車場に限りがある場合もありますが、どうぞご自由にお越しください。個別に教会へ問い合わせたい場合は、事前に連絡していただいても大丈夫です。

Do I need to reserve ahead of time?

No. While there may be limited seating or limits to the parking lot, feel free to come at any time. If you are interested in asking the church individually, please feel free to contact them ahead of time.

礼拝は日本語だけですか？

教会によって異なりますが、栃木地区には毎週英語通訳を行っている教会がいくつかあります。また、さまざまな国の方々が教会員や牧師として集っており、日本語が話せなくても安心して参加できるよう努めています。個別に教会へ問い合わせたい場合は、事前に連絡していただいても大丈夫です。

Is the service only in Japanese?

It depends on the church but several churches in our district provide English translation each week. There are also people from various countries who are members and pastors of our churches and we seek to support you whether you speak Japanese or not. Please contact the church you are interested in attending to ask more!

献金とは何ですか？

必ずしなければいけませんか？

献金は、神さまへの自発的な感謝のしるしとしてお金をささげる行為です。礼拝の中で献金の時間があり、その献金は教会の活動や牧師、他の教会の支援のために用いられます。義務ではありません。したいと思ったときに、したい額をおささげください。多くの方は千円ほどを献金袋に入れています。

What is offering? Is it mandatory?

Offering is our free will giving of money to God. Each church collects offering during it's worship service and the money given is what is used to run the services of the church and to support the pastor and other churches. It is not mandatory. Give if you want to and decide how much to give! Many people give a thousand yen to the offering plate.

聖餐は誰が受けられますか？

キリスト教のいずれかの教会で洗礼を受けている方であれば、どなたでも歓迎します。費用やその他の条件はありません。これは主の食卓です。

Who can take holy communion?　

Anyone baptized in any Christian Church is welcome to take communion. There is no fee, nor any other requirement to take communion in our churches. It is the Lord's table.
